HEALTHY AND SAFETY TIPS
The Bronx Museum of the Arts takes the safety of our visitors and staff seriously. We are continuing to monitor public health guidelines and will update our operations as needed. Please read our visitor guidelines below for tips on how to stay healthy.
FACE COVERINGS
Face coverings are strongly recommended for all visitors age 2 and older, even if you are vaccinated.
Face coverings include (but are not limited to) cloth, surgical masks, KN-95 masks, N-95 masks, and face shields.
CDC guidelines advise that face coverings should:
· Reach above the nose, below the chin, and completely cover the mouth and nostrils
· Fit snugly against the sides of the face
You can read more about face coverings on the CDC website HERE.
VACCINATIONS
In keeping with CDC guidelines, we strongly suggest vaccinations for all visitors. You can read more on the CDC website HERE.
OTHER PREVENTATIVE MEASURES
Other steps you can take to stay safe:
· Stay home if you are feeling sick, including having any of the symptoms listed below (that are unrelated to a chronic condition). For more information about COVID-19, check the CDC website.
o Cough
o Shortness of Breath/Chest Tightness
o Sore Throat
o Nasal Congestion/Runny nose
o Myalgia/Body Aches
o Loss of Taste and/or Smell
o Diarrhea
o Nausea
o Vomiting
o Fever/Chills/Sweats
· Maintain a distance of 6 feet from others whenever possible.
· Practice healthy hand hygiene by washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds after using the restroom.
· Disinfect your hands when hand washing is not possible. Hands sanitizer with 60% or more alcohol is the most effective.
· Follow the Bronx Museum’s rule of not touching the artwork, frames, platforms, labels, display cases, or anything used to protect the art. This is for your safety and to protect the art itself.
· Please be aware that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present.
