Join musicians Mimi Jones and ArcoIris Sandoval, creators of The D.O.M.E. Experience for a jazz chamber orchestra production, including live spoken word, dance and cinematography.


Inspired by current political, social and environmental topics, this D.O.M.E. Experience benefit relief event is being produced to aid and support those recently affected by natural disasters.


Following the performance there will be a Q&A and reception with co-Founders Mimi Jones and ArcoIris Sandoval


All proceeds will be sent to the Caribbean and Mexico.

About The D.O.M.E. Experience 

The D.O.M.E. Experience events are all individually produced and inspired around diverse socio-poltical issues such as climate change, ecosystems, and current political trends.. Interdisciplinary and cross-genre, it is designed to engage audiences on multiple artistic platforms - aurally through music and spoken word as well as visually and kinesthetically through integrated choreographic video art and dance collaborations. The live music component is flexible and can consist of various ensemble configurations ranging from Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra (40-50 instrumentalists) to a Chamber Ensemble (13-20 instrumentalists).

About the Founders 

Mimi Jones

For the more than two decades, bassist/vocalist/producer/label owner and now filmmaker Mimi Jones has collaborated with an impressive coterie of musicians and as a bandleader, composer and musician. Her most recent release is  produced and directed three CDs on her own label, Hot Tone Music featuring the Mimi Jones Band. Her newest release Feet in the Mud, has received national acclaim. Jones is supported by a numerous pioneer and innovative contemporary musicians including pianist Jon Cowherd, drummer Jonathan Barber, and saxophonist Samir Zarif. Born in New York City of parents from Barbados, and raised in the Bronx, Jones is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music Conservatory. She has studied with Lisle Atkinson, Ron Carter, Linda McKnight, Milton Hinton and others. She has toured extensively throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, and the Caribbean Islands and is recognized as a U.S. Jazz Ambassador. She has performed with Kenny Barron, Frank Ocean, Dianne Reeves, Tia Fuller, Ingrid Jensen, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Marc Cary, Toshi Reagon, Rachel Z, Sean Jones, Ravi Coltrane, and Terri Lyne Carrington’s Grammy Award winning Mosaic Project.


Jones also serves as co-director with ArcoIris Sandoval of The D.O.M.E. Experience, a multimedia project created to inspire its audience to become aware of environmental and social issues, within the community and globally through choreography, composition and cinematography.



ArcoIris Sandoval

ArcoIris Sandoval is a jazz pianist, composer and Fulbright award recipient currently residing in New York City. She obtained her Master's degree in jazz piano performance from the Manhattan School of Music, and has won several ASCAP young jazz composer awards as well as being a semifinalist at in the Montreux Solo Jazz Piano competition, a participant in the Mary Lou Williams Festival, Betty Carter Jazz Ahead and the Metropole Orkest Arrangers Workshop directed by Vince Mendoza featuring Richard Bona. One of her arrangements was performed by the Metropole at the 2016 BBC Proms tribute to Quincy Jones and again recently at Lincoln Center.


She has also performed at major festivals throughout the world including a tour in China, the Telluride Jazz Festival, the Tucson Jazz Festival with Lonnie Plaxico opening for Tower of Power in 2017, the Vancouver Summer Festival, and many others throughout Europe, India, South America, and Mexico. She is currently the Co-founder and Co-director of The D.O.M.E. Experience along with Mimi Jones and is actively performing with several ensembles including with Lonnie Plaxico, the Mimi Jones Band, her own Sonic Asylum project as well as many others.
