The Bronx Trolley: Artful Health
Wednesday, March 4, 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Can art be therapeutic? A representative from New York Creative Arts Therapists PLLC will take the audience on a mini-therapeutic journey, drawing inspiration from the art in the Museum as well as  personal life experience. Participants will create their own art and consider the creative process from a therapeutic angle.
New York Creative Arts Therapists PLLC is the only licensed group practice in New York specializing in the integration of the arts in psychotherapy. With ten years in operation, the Brooklyn-based practice is at the forefront in providing effective creative arts therapies to adults, children, families and community agencies.

ARTFUL HEALTH is a series of programs presented by the Bronx Museum focused on an array of health issues of extreme relevance to the Bronx community. Considering the prevalence of health conditions such as asthma, obesity, diabetes, sexually transmitted infections, and mental illness in the borough, we hope to providing safe, engaging, and dynamic public spaces for South Bronx residents to learn more about these issues, gain access to health resources, and share their experiences through diverse art forms to which they may not otherwise have access.
Public and Community Engagement Programs at The Bronx Museum of the Arts are made possible by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Mertz Gilmore Foundation,  and The New York Community Trust. Beer has been provided by Bronx Brewery.
THE BRONX TROLLEY is a project of the South Bronx Cultural Corridor.  Making a cultural loop through the lower Grand Concourse and in other sections of the Bronx, it provides an innovative way to travel free while giving Bronxites and tourists alike the opportunity to sample several of the area’s hottest cultural attractions, dining establishments and entertainment venues.
