Steps Forward is a presentation of the latest work by Bronx-born, multidisciplinary artist Abdul Latif. The night will feature live performances of Latif’s choreography by New York City Ballet principal dancer Amar Ramasar (also born in the Bronx), Former Alvin Ailey Principal Dancer Briana Reed, more. Steps Forward will include discussions with the Latif and the performers led by Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance co-founder Charles Rice-González and correspondent for CNN En Español Maria Santana, a viewing of collaborative photography projects with award-winning videographer Tarik Mohamed and photographer Ayman El Sayed. Featuring Original Music from Acclaimed Producer J.PERIOD (The Roots, The Hamilton Mixtape).
