The Peterson Collection of contemporary realist art is the private collection of Gregory J. Peterson, a New York corporate attorney. Artworks in the collection have been acquired internationally from 1972 through the present, comprising works in oil, egg tempera, gouache, watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, pen and ink, graphite, etching, drypoint, lithography, pastel, photography, plastic, ceramic and bronze. Although principally American, the collection also embraces a substantial number of works from Australia, Cuba, The Czech Republic, England, France, Kenya, Latvia, The Netherlands, Russia and Sweden.
Young Patrons is a group of art enthusiasts under the age of 45 that have the privilege of being active members of the Bronx Museum in a dynamic environment that engages with contemporary art exhibitions and education programs and is committed to promoting cross-cultural dialogues for diverse audiences. Members of the YP enjoy all the benefits of Friend level membership plus special YP only events, including visits to artist studios, passes to national art fairs and receptions.
