Arts in the Gardens: Film “Style Wars”
Wednesday, August 20, Film starts at sunset (between 7-8PM)

Arts in the Gardens presents "Bronx Screened." Curated by the Bronx Documentary Center, this film series will tell the story of the Bronx through different heart-felt documentaries about history, culture, politics and social impact. Attendees are welcome to bring a picnic and blanket. Movies will begin between 7 and 8PM at sunset. The event begins with a mixer and light refreshments.


Film: Style Wars

Description: It is regarded as the indispensable document of NY street culture and subway graffiti art of the early '80s, the filmic record of a golden age of youthful creativity that exploded into the world from a city in crisis. It won the Grand Prize for Documentaries at the 1983 Sundance Film Festival.
