Founded in 2012, The Bronx Filmmakers (TBxF) is a collective of filmmakers who live and work in the borough of The Bronx. We seek to contribute to the vibrant Bronx arts community by inspiring our members to create new work and by supporting and promoting our members' best work.

As members of the Bronx community we seek to showcase the multitude of stories both narrative and documentary that make our borough unique. We believe it is important to show a more complex and nuanced picture of the Bronx than is typically found in the media.

Public and Community Engagement Programs are made possible by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Mertz Gilmore Foundation.
