A Tribute to Hip Hop, Dance and Culture

South Building—Lower Gallery

Four highly respected hip hop pioneers from the worlds of dance, activism, and education join forces to present a one-of-a-kind program that explores the history, relevance, and future of hip hop dance and the culture that birthed it. Featuring the screening of "Everything Remains Raw," a groundbreaking documentary on hip hop dance culture, a panel discussion, and music provided by DJ Doc.

Distinguished panelists include: Moderator April Silver: (AKILA WORKSONGS, Inc), Adesola Osakalumi, (Elite Force/ MopTop Productions), Stretch Austin, (Elite Force/ MopTop Productions), Jorge "Fabel" Pabon, ( RSC, Tools of War), Ana "Rockafella" Garcia (Full Circle Productions), and Moncell Durden ( Filmmaker ).

Getting to The Bronx Museum of the Arts
Subway:    Take the D or B to the 167 Street / Grand Concourse station. Exit at rear of station, walk south along Grand Concourse two blocks. 4 to the 161 Street / Yankee Stadium station. Walk east three blocks to the Grand Concourse, then, walk north four blocks along Grand Concourse to 165th Street.
 
Bus:            Take the Bx1, Bx2, or BxM4 Express to 165th St. and Grand Concourse.
 
Museum Hours
Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 12 – 6 pm. Friday from 12 – 8 pm. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday
