SUBWAY SERIES Subway Series: The New York Yankees and the American Dream chronicles the history of the New York Yankees through contemporary artworks, revered memorabilia, sports photography, and baseball cartoons. The exhibition takes its name from inter-borough competitions during the fall classic and the initiation of inter-league play in 1997. Subway Series promises to capture the spirit of the game, the passions of the multi-generational fans, and the distinctly local vernacular of baseball itself. While the histories of the Yankees and the Mets are unique, Subway Series charts each team’s transformation over the years, featuring images
and objects: art and non-art. Bronx Museum participating artists: Amy Adler, David S.
