First Fridays! The Bronx Museum of the Arts and Kaufman Music Center’s Face the Music present EN MASSE | THE BRONX MUSEUM OF THE ARTS
Friday, February 7, 2014, 6pm to 10pm
First Fridays
EN MASSE will celebrate the music of Haitian-American violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain. The EN MASSE performance embeds musicians within the Museum's galleries, with each work selected to encourage audience participation and reflection to create what Roumain affectionately calls "an orchestra of life”: an orchestra of both musicians and audience, each with a role and responsibility to fulfill. Kaufman Music Center’s Face the Music is composed of 170 NYC pre-college musicians and has been called “a force in the new music world” by The New York Times.
Free Admission and suggested donation bar
Location: Lower Gallery and throughout the galleries

First Fridays!  are made possible with support from The David Rockefeller Fund.  Beer has been lovingly provided by Brooklyn Brewery. Generous support for Community and Outreach programs is provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Booth Ferris Foundation.
