Come have a last look at the popular ¡Presente! The Young Lords in New York exhibition, closing Sunday at the Bronx Museum on October 18.
On view at The Bronx Museum of the Arts, the Loisaida Center and El Museo del Barrio, ¡Presente! offers an artistic and cultural survey of The Young Lords Organization—a radical social activist group founded by Puerto Rican youth in the 1960s that demanded reform in health care, education, housing, employment, and policing.
Exhibition curators, artists, writers and members of the Young Lords Party will be on hand to sign the newly-released catalog accompanying the tripartite exhibition. Copies of the catalogue for sale during the event.
Co-sponsored by NYU Latino Studies
Free admission and refreshments (donations suggested)
Location: North Wing Lobby
Catalogues can also be purchased online and at the Bronx Museum Gift Shop
