Can photography change how we see our surroundings? What comprises a beautiful photograph? How can photography and history interrelate?

Join RIPA's selected 2017 FLOW artist Rose DeSiano to address these questions, and take some photographs of your own! We'll meet on Randall's Island Connector at 2pm to learn about this year's FLOW art pieces, discuss some of Randall's Island's history, and talk about photographic composition and story-telling. Bring your camera or camera phone (RIPA will also offer a few Polaroid cameras to borrow for the event) and spend the afternoon capturing Island images that you can take home with you. We hope you'll return throughout the year to continue your photographic journey on Randall's Island.

Free admission. All ages welcome!

The FLOW art series is planned in conjunction with the Randall's Island Park Alliance, the Bronx Museum and the New York Department of Parks and Recreation.
