On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, The Bronx Museum of the Arts will host a grand virtual and in-person gala at Guastavino’s celebrating 50 years of championing the people of the Bronx, supporting important contemporary artists, and serving the youth through educational initiatives.
The Gala and Art Auction is the Bronx Museum’s single most important fundraiser of the year, attended by art world luminaries, business and entertainment titans, government officials, patrons, artists and educators – raising an important 20% of the Museum’s annual operating budget.
Our gala theme, Our Stories –Our Voices reinforces our core values that visibility is the primary tenet of social justice and that to be truly seen is the first step in forward movement towards equity.
Our gala will be a free-flowing cocktail-style evening featuring performances by Maluca (Bronx-born hip-house performer), Valerie Capers (Bronx-born jazz pianist and composer), our lauded live and silent art auction, awards presentation, as well as dine-around food and drink stations. The evening’s honorees, Henry R. Muñoz III (Trailblazer Award) and Derrick Adams (Art & Social Justice Award), embody The Bronx Museum’s enduring values, and share our commitment to promoting equity and visibility.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Claudette McQueen at Gala@bronxmuseum.org or 718-681-6000 x 174.

All attendees will be required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 testing response no later than 72 hours prior to the event.
