The Bronx Museum of the Arts is pleased to present Inner Beauty/Outer Expression, an exhibition organized by Bronx High School for the Visual Arts (BHSVA) Teen Curators. Opening on Wednesday, March 28, the exhibition focuses on the theme of identity through the eyes of a teenager.

Inner Beauty/Outer Expression brings up the age-old question: Who are we? The works in the exhibition both explore and reflect on the idea of identity, defined by the group of Teen Curators as a composite of all the elements that surround us and influence our choices. Culture,
heritage, nationality, and interests, they believe, are all bits and pieces that make up "identity," and that ultimately shape how we express experiences and perspectives.

The Teen Curators organized all aspect of this exhibition including defining the theme, selecting and laying out the artworks and creating exhibition materials. The collaboration with Bronx High School for the Visual Arts, a public high school for aspiring artists, and The Bronx
Museum of the Arts
, the only visual arts museum in the Bronx, is now in its third year.
